The Home Course

Dupont, Washington

Second to none (including that other Puget Sound course)

For better or worse, you can’t talk about The Home Course without talking about Chambers Bay. Both opened the same year within a few miles of each other and both are modern links in incredibly scenic locales abutting Puget Sound and with views of Mount Rainier. But there are differences. For starters, Chambers Bay hosted the US Open within its first decade. Chambers is also a big, bombastic course and carries a hefty price tag at peak times. Let’s be up front – The Home Course is not as good as Chambers Bay. But few courses in this country are as good as Chambers Bay. What The Home Course does provide is unmatched views, a spectacular location, and challenging golf that doesn’t overwhelm less-than-professional-caliber golfers (like Chambers Bay can do at times). Best part? You can play The Home Course for under $50, even during the summer. Seems like The Home Course is worth being mentioned in the same breathe as Chambers Bay.
