Even in a land filled with tradition and history, Prestwick stands apart. This is not modern golf and that’s a good thing. Adjust your expectations, soak in the one-of-a-kind atmosphere, and take a step back to another, more elegant time. But don’t think Prestwick is a museum piece. It’s a living, breathing, challenging, and – dare we say – fun course.
Expert Reviews
The course is a traditional monument, an authentic affair with a layout of holes that snake to and fro through rugged dunes and rippled fairways. There are so many great things to say about Prestwick. The best thing to do is to play the course and judge it for yourself. Any serious golfer must tick this one off the list.
Top 100 Golf CoursesIf I had to pick one course to play out my days on, this may well be it. Not because it’s the best course in the world, but because for even the longest serving member there remains at Prestwick more putts, pitches, stances and situations left unseen than on any other course I know.
