Any one can build a hard course. What few are able to do is create a course that challenges all without overwhelming any. Castle Stuart is a modern links built above and below a seaside bluff just minutes from Inverness Airport. It’s a stunning course in a mesmerizing location. And with wide fairways that present a multitude of strategic options, it’s a course anyone can enjoy playing from the  fairway. Of course, there are preferred routes for low scores. But Castle Stuart is a rare modern course that puts playability above all else.
Expert Reviews
C astle Stuart is absolutely fantastic and a must play in Scotland. The width of the fairways and size of the greens make the course enjoyable to play no matter what the weather conditions are. There isn’t a weak hole on the course with each one boasting an engaging design full of strategy without relying on tricked up features
Golf Course GurusThe opening three holes on each nine run away from the clubhouse along the edge of a raised beach by the side of the Moray Firth, offering spectacular views across the water to the Black Isle. In order to reach shore level from the escarpment above, a thrilling drive must be struck from tees cut into the cliff side down to the fairways below on holes 1 and 10—a heart-pumping way to start both the outward and inward half.
