A few rare courses are just great in every way. Fun to play, challenging scenic, full of memorable holes, easy to get to, affordable, walkable and friendly. It seems so straightforward, but they’re hard to come by. The Olympic Course at Gold Mountain is one of them. Cut out of a hilly Olympic Peninsula temperate rainforest, it’s equally challenging, engaging and beautiful. It’s one of the true highlights of the Pacific Northwest.

When to Play

The Olympic Course at Gold Mountain is open year around. It has a reputation for draining well, at least for a forest course.

Being in the Pacific Northwest, October through April is quite wet. However, there is virtually no rain June through September. Temperatures are generally mild year round. May through June is going to be your best bet for the Olympic Course.
