This is what a course should be. It’s fun. You can hurt yourself but it won’t beat you up. The greens are just ridiculous, in the best possible way. The setting is absolutely awe-inspiring. It’s in great shape, rarely crowded and not expensive. Everybody is friendly and helpful. When you hit the hills on the back nine – with the views beyond – you’ll be hard pressed to wipe the smile off your face.
Expert Reviews
The best NW course you’ve probably never heard of…Elk Ridge’s greens are what put it on par with the best public courses in the Northwest…They are huge, bending, dipping, dropping and curving creations…It’s easy to get distracted while playing Elk Ridge Golf Course. Almost every hole has views into the Columbia River Gorge. And yet the course may be the best layout you never knew existed.

When to Play
Elk Ridge is open year around, weather permitting.
Like most places in the Pacific Northwest, Elk Ridge is wet in from October through May. However, Elk Ridge drains better than almost every other course in the region, so it should be playable in all but the wettest conditions.
Temperature-wise, Elk Ridge should be pleasant from around March through October. The Columbia River Gorge is known as one of the most consistently windy places in America, so it can get breezy at Elk Ridge, especially in the afternoon.
Any time April through October should be a great time to play Elk Ridge.
